Partnering for impact: Shaping the future together at Prime’s 2025 company conference

CAPE delivering Prime Accountant's Groups' 2025 company conference, Morgan Davies

At CAPE People Development, we know that no two organisations are the same. That’s why we don’t deliver off-the-shelf solutions. We take time to understand your business, your people, and the specific challenges you’re facing, whether that’s around growth, culture, performance, or change.

We’ve been working with Prime Accountants Group, a founder-led, values-driven firm, for several years. In that time, we’ve supported their managers and directors through leadership development programmes, peer coaching, and tailored interventions grounded in the real pressures of the business.

Over time, we’ve built a trusted partnership with the leadership team, rooted in honest conversation and shared ambition. So when they asked us to co-design and facilitate part of their 2025 staff conference, we knew this was more than a facilitation brief. It was an opportunity to help shape a pivotal moment for a growing, founder-led organisation that truly values its people.

Supporting change through connection

Prime is growing. And as a business led by founders who care deeply about their people and their legacy, they wanted to ensure that everyone in the organisation felt involved, informed, and inspired by the journey ahead.

We partnered with the leadership team to design a company-wide conference that would:

  • Build understanding and buy-in around the firm’s direction of travel
  • Provide a safe space for honest reflection and questions
  • Strengthen employee engagement and team cohesion
  • Connect individual actions to organisational performance and success

Because we know the day-to-day realities of leading in a founder-led firm, where culture, legacy and growth sit side by side, we designed each part of the day to reflect both ambition and care.

What we did

The day combined structured dialogue, team-led reflection and future-focused activity. Key elements included:

  • Opening temperature checks to surface how people were feeling and how clear they were about what they’d heard
  • Group discussions to explore both the opportunities and challenges people could see ahead, and what questions remained
  • A live Q&A with the leadership team, helping to build clarity and trust
  • An interactive ‘Firm of the Future’ snakes and ladders game, where teams explored what behaviours and habits help (ladders) or hinder (snakes) progress towards a high-performing, people-first culture
  • Team and individual commitment setting, connecting the day to tangible next steps

Throughout, we used tools that encouraged participation, reflection and action, capturing insights that the leadership team could take forward.

The impact

The results were clear, both in the room and in the feedback. At the start of the day, attendees shared words like “overwhelmed”, “uncertain”, and “curious”. By the end, those had shifted to “informed”, “engaged”, and “excited”

Clarity scores rose from an average of 6.3 to 7.6, and excitement levels climbed to 8.2 out of 10, a powerful shift for a single day.

What really stood out were the actions people committed to:

  • As individuals: communicate openly, embrace change, take ownership, be inquisitive
  • As a team: build trust, collaborate across departments, stay aligned to shared values, and focus on performance and efficiency

These insights are now being used to shape ongoing communication and development across the firm.

What Prime said

“We have a great relationship with CAPE that has been building over the last few years. They are there to support our team with people development and have become extremely trusted by our team.

Therefore, we had no hesitation in asking Lynsey and Naomi to help plan and deliver part of our staff conference, helping our teams strive towards high performance.

They provided a platform for the team to share their feelings and ask curious questions without any judgment, which enabled the leadership team of Prime to roll out our future plans in a way where the team are involved, engaged and excited.”

Morgan Davies, Managing Director

What we think

For us, this wasn’t just a session. It was a moment that brought together people, purpose, and performance.

By combining what we know about Prime’s business with what we do best, creating space for meaningful conversation and practical clarity, we helped shape a day that will leave a lasting impact.
